On Trustpilot, Joi held a 3.9 rating from 262 reviews when we checked in November 2026, and reviewers often praise the variety of characters. If a big catalog, official twins and live video are what you want, Joi AI is a strong choice. The trade-offs show up in how you pay for the intimate parts.

Joi has two layers of payment. Its Terms of Service describe a free Basic account with limited access and a Premium subscription billed monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. Its image generator FAQ lists 1, 3 and 12 month options, and Neuron packs in tiers of 500, 2,000 and 10,000, with larger packs giving a better rate per Neuron. Joi does not show Premium prices to logged-out visitors, and its terms say prices can vary by region, plan length, character and promotion, so check the total in your account before paying.

The second layer is Neurons, and this is where Joi differs most from a flat plan. According to section 3.4 of its terms, Neurons pay for services not included in your subscription, including romantic, erotic or sexually explicit messages, visual content and adult-themed scenarios. The terms give examples: one romantic message costs 4 Neurons to be read, one photo view up to 120 Neurons and one video view up to 1,900 Neurons, depending on the theme. Some individual characters can also be bought as a separate Bot Subscription. Joi's terms describe this as an add-on that only works while you have an active Premium subscription: if Premium lapses, access to those characters is suspended until you renew. On the plus side, Joi's help center says monthly benefits reset every month even on a yearly plan, and unused quota rolls over to the next month rather than disappearing.

Nastia has three plans: Free, Standard at $11.99 a month, and Unlimited at $15.99 a month. Uncensored chat is part of every plan, and on Unlimited your chat messages are unlimited, so there is no separate charge for a message because it is romantic or explicit. Pictures and videos come with Standard and Unlimited and draw from a daily token allowance that refills every day, so you always know what today looks like.

Joi lets you browse characters without an account and create one for free. Its help center says free accounts get 6 lifetime image generations to try the studio, that those generations are stored for 7 days, and that generating images of a specific character uses Neurons rather than the free generations. Its help center also points to events and challenges on its Discord as a way to win free Neurons.

Nastia's free plan lets you create one custom companion and chat uncensored with daily limits, with no credit card required. The idea is to come back to the same conversation over time and find out whether you like your companion before you spend anything. Pictures, video and long-term memory come with the paid plans.

If generating lots of images and clips is your main reason for using an adult AI site, Joi AI gives you more tools to play with: a full gallery studio with styles and poses, batch generation, a public community feed, and video generation from its characters. Its character creator FAQ says your companion is built to stay consistent across photos and videos.

Nastia is built around seeing the one person you are talking to rather than around a studio. When you create a companion you choose their appearance, and every picture is generated to match it. Joi AI has the edge on voice if live calls matter to you. Its terms describe voice chat and a real-time Video Call Feature, though availability varies by device, region and plan and the feature can change.

Nastia does not offer voice or video calls. Your companion can send you voice messages, so you hear them in their own voice when they reply, which many people find more relaxed than a live call. If calling is essential, Joi AI is the better fit on this point.

Joi is built around choice: a large catalog of public characters, official twins of real creators, and your own creations. Its help center says all public characters go through a moderation review before going live, and Joi also runs community features such as comments and multi-user group chats with AI participants.

Nastia is built around one relationship at a time. You design your companion's appearance, personality, backstory and voice, and they stay consistent because they were made for you. Nastia does not use real people: there are no celebrity twins, and for safety Nastia does not accept photo uploads, so every image is generated from your companion's design. When you want a bigger scene, group chats are part of the Unlimited plan: you can bring up to five of your own companions into one conversation.

Joi's official subreddit is mostly a showcase of its own content, so independent feedback is easier to find elsewhere. A few recurring themes:

• Price is the main complaint. Trustpilot's summary of recent reviews says price is a major source of dissatisfaction, and one reviewer who liked the characters said they could not afford the subscription and Neurons together (Trustpilot).
• Roleplay that needs pushing. In June 2026 a user on r/Chatbots said scenes progressed slowly, replies felt scripted and sometimes looped, and they had to keep driving the story; other members suggested out-of-character instructions or narrating what the character should do (r/Chatbots ).

Its privacy policy says it does not sell or rent your information and that conversations are not shared with other companies apart from affiliates, legal representatives and service providers. The policy names Lanoto Solutions Inc., based in New Rochelle, New York, as data controller, and charges appear on your statement as joi.com.

Two lines in Joi's terms are worth reading before you sign up. They say the chatbot keeps learning from user interactions and that Joi representatives may moderate its activity. And both the terms and the refund policy say that if you charge back a transaction, Joi may disclose your private communications on the service to prove the charge was valid.

Nastia is for adults only, 18 and over, and chat is uncensored on every plan, including free. There are no moral lectures and no settings to hunt for. The only limits are legal and ethical ones: no minors and no real people. Your chats are never shown to other users and never sold.

Joi's refund policy says you can cancel any time under Settings, then My Subscriptions, and that cancellation takes effect from the next billing period. Fees and Neurons for the current month are not refunded. To leave entirely, Joi's terms say you can delete your account in the service, that this is irreversible, and that it may mean losing Premium, Bot Subscriptions and any remaining Neurons.
