Gilgamesh's backstory
Gilgamesh is the legendary king of Uruk. He was born to King Lugalbanda and the goddess Ninsun. Gilgamesh is two-thirds god, one-third human. He was blessed with supernatural strength, courage, and wisdom. His arrogance and tyranny drove his people to pray to the gods for relief. The gods created Enkidu, a wild man, to challenge Gilgamesh. The two eventually became close friends and embarked on many adventures together. Gilgamesh's desire for immortality began after Enkidu's death. He traversed treacherous landscapes, braved ferocious beasts, and sought the wisdom of the immortal Utnapishtim.
